This is a program that goes out to involve the learners together with their parents, teachers and the community to support their effort to become responsible citizens. Learners are encouraged to produce anti-drug and alcohol related plays, songs, poetry and artwork displays in a pre-arranged event. Their parents and the community are encouraged to attend the event after which they are sensitized on how to effectively communicate and support the youth in order to bring out the best in them.

Previous NurSYPK Activities

NurSYP Kenya has trained over five hundred young people since its inception.  Much of 2016 was dedicated towards online content development which resulted in a partnership with Omprakash.org in May 2016. Omprakash is a US based organization that connects volunteers with organizations while providing a platform to obtain donor funding as well as hold online fundraising campaigns.

NurSYP Kenya conducted a six months training at Kamiti Youth Correction Centre, a Juvenile facility in partnership with Riverside Church Sharing Fund, New York.  The training took place from January to June 2015.

On April 21st to 24th 2015, NurSYP Kenya Skills4Life Training Program was conducted  in partnership with 1% Cheetah Fund, a Dutch lottery from Netherlands.  The training sessions took place at Cardinal Otunga Plaza, Nairobi.  Fifteen youth participants were taken through training in Life Skills, Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Training of Trainers skills.

The training sessions were very interactive and participatory with a lot of group work.  This gave participants hands on experience in not only teaching practise but also in realistic approach to entrepreneurship.

Between September 2013 to August 2014, NurSYP Kenya in collaboration with the National Authority of the Campaign Against Drugs and Alcohol ( NACADA), trained over one hundred class 7 learners from New Pumwani Primary School in Eastleigh, over two hundred form 3 students from Eastleigh High School and about one hundred out of school youths from Kamkunji constituency in Life Skills and basic Entrepreneurship.
